Intensive Model
Children are growing at a rapid rate in their first three years of life. Brain development is shown to be most dynamic in these early years. Utilizing a model of intensive therapy exposes a child to a variety of movement strategies in a short amount of time which improves the proliferation of neurological synapses. These new connections result in profound gross motor improvement.
Scheduling
Intensives are scheduled to meet the needs of each child individually. Sessions are scheduled 4-5 days a week at 60 to 90 minute appointments. An intensive can last one to three weeks. All scheduling is dynamic to fit the needs of the child and their family. Intensives can be scheduled for PT, OT or a combination of the two.
Regularly scheduled appointments are also available and can be just as valuable in gaining mobility. A variety of treatment techniques will be utilized including DMI therapy.
Location
Children learn in different environments. Therapy is provided in the families home if desired or in a studio setting.
